So the iindigo world concept is born… now we wanted to translate this concept into forms of expression of beauty. So we came up with the notion of doing a number of shoots with females of varied and individual beauty, we choose 16 girls all very unique and from different parts of the world and we decided to give each girl four looks from our four categories of iindigo world: Roots, Nature, Fantasy and Allure. The looks would be achieved through a vast variety of make up, body art, styling and settings. So for example one girl might have a look inspired by snow for Nature, the city of Venice for Roots, the cheekbones for Allure and a mythical character for Fantasy.
Everything in the universe runs in a perfect numerological sequence and we wanted our iindigo shoots to represent this, so we have 16 models all unique and each from a different part the world.. each model has four looks showcasing each of the four themes and the themes within those themes that in turn make up the world, equaling sixty-four shoots in total, sixteen fitting into sixty-four, four times!
Executed over a period of ten crazy months, the shoots themselves had some real high and low points! From perfect planning and delivering, delicious on set lunches and cheeky glasses of wine to crazy weather conditions, wardrobe malfunctions and some hilarious diva moments (from both the models and the team!)
All in all we were ecstatic with the collection. Each image, finished with a thought provoking name, tells a story. The models, all sixteen carefully selected because of their unique iindigo image and person, are transformed and confidently hold each look, from each category that make up the world of beauty.
Having been such a success and gaining to many enquiries for personal shoots, our next venture will be offering shoot days and packages to the public which we will run from our shop base in Holborn along side our workshops. They will available from the summer 2013.
